The Great Wall Voleex C30 is a front-wheel drive sedan "golf" -class (segment "C" by European standards), which combines: nice design, quite a modern technical "stuffing" and affordable cost ... Its main target audience is family people who know how to control their expenses and want to get “more car for less money” ...

The three-box began its serial "career" in 2010 - its official debut took place in April at the International Beijing Motor Show, after which commercial production was launched ... since then, without exaggeration, it has been modernized many times (almost every year).

In October 2013, the car underwent its first significant update - as a result of which it not only changed externally and internally and received new equipment, but also lost the word "Voleex" in the name.

Another "noticeable" modernization overtook the four-door in the fall of 2016, but then it limited itself to "little blood" - leaving without any attention the technical component, it radically corrected the exterior and interior, and also added new items to the list of available options.

Great Wall C30 looks modern and very attractive, however, certain borrowings slip in its design (albeit without fanaticism).

A frowning "face" with uncomplicated headlights, a chrome grille and a sculpted bumper, a three-volume silhouette with an arched roof and embossed "folds" on the sidewalls, a strong rear with stylish lanterns and a "chubby" bumper - from all angles the car has a balanced outline, but in the city flow will definitely go unnoticed.

In length, the Chinese sedan is 4471 mm long, does not exceed 1705 mm in width, and reaches 1480 mm in height. A 2610 mm base fits between the wheelsets of the four-door, and under the bottom there is a 155 mm ground clearance.

The equipped weight of the machine varies from 1200 to 1255 kg (depending on the version).

The interior of the Great Wall Voleex C30 in its appearance fully corresponds to modern trends - a three-spoke multi-steering wheel with a raised rim, a laconic instrument cluster with a "window" of an on-board computer, a massive front panel, in the center of which there is a 7-inch display of an infotainment and information system and a scattering of buttons and controls controlling multimedia and climate functions.

Inside the car, budget finishing materials (hard plastics and inexpensive fabric) prevail, but the build quality is at a solid level.

In the front, the interior of the compact sedan is equipped with comfortable seats with well-defined sidewalls, soft padding and decent adjustment ranges. In the second row there is a sofa with a simple profile and ample space on all fronts for three adults of average height.

The luggage compartment of the Great Wall C30 boasts not only a wide and high opening, but also an impressive volume - 510 liters in the "stowed" state. The second row of seats folds in two sections, allowing you to transport long items, but does not form a flat surface. Under the raised floor there is a full-fledged "spare wheel" and a set of tools.

The three-volume is driven by a gasoline four-cylinder "aspirated" GW4G15 with a working volume of 1.5 liters (1497 cubic centimeters) with an in-line layout, electronically controlled multi-point fuel injection, an aluminum cylinder block, a 16-valve DOHC timing belt and an electronic variable valve timing (VVT) system.
The engine generates 97 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 132 Nm of available torque at 4000-4500 rpm, and is normally offered in conjunction with a 5-speed "mechanics" and front-wheel drive transmission.

As an option, a stepless variator is installed on the car, which has a "manual mode" (with six fixed steps).

In "running" disciplines, the Chinese sedan does not differ in agility: it accelerates to a maximum of 170 km / h, and takes a long 19 seconds to conquer the first "hundred".

In "mixed conditions" this four-door consumes from 6.9 to 7.1 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers (depending on the version).

At the heart of the Great Wall C30 is a front-wheel drive architecture with a transversely based power plant. The front part of the car's body is not based on an independent suspension with MacPherson struts and an anti-roll bar, but on the rear - on a semi-independent system with a torsion beam (in both cases - with coil springs and hydraulic shock absorbers).
The sedan is equipped with disc brakes on all wheels (supplemented by ventilation on the front axle) with ABS and EBD, as well as a rack-and-pinion steering center with hydraulic booster.

The Great Wall Voleex C30 is not officially supplied to the Russian market, but in the Ukrainian market in 2018 it is sold at a price of 275,000 hryvnia (~ 564 thousand rubles).

The initial three-volume configuration includes: front airbags, 15-inch alloy wheels, power steering, ABS, EBD, an audio system with four speakers, power windows for all doors, air conditioning, fog lights and some other options.
